Born in Iceland, Guðbjörg Ingvarsdóttir designs innovative jewelry that combines delicate individual elements inspired by her surroundings. She often seeks inspiration from the Icelandic wilderness and spends time in the west fjords, where the majestic and raw landscape enforces her creativity. Each collection evokes the atmosphere from which it takes inspiration, and she allows her collections to continually evolve, underlining the organic process of translating concept into finished article. Ingvarsdóttir studied at Copenhagen Polytechnic, Reykjavík Technical College, and the Institute of Precious Metals, Copenhagen. She is the founder of Aurum, her own jewelry design company, located in the center of Reykjavík.
