United Kingdom designer and maker Amy Ridyard specializes in woodworking, carving and metalsmithing. She crafts uniquely sculptural and functional objects of intrigue, using primarily metal and wood, generating elegant combinations of these materials by using traditional techniques in a contemporary way. For her latest collection she has created a selection of bespoke, interactive collectables to adorn both body and home. She hopes to provoke thought, stimulate curiosity and awaken nostalgia, forming unique connections between object and client. Ridyard launched her own jewelry business in 2011. She received a BA from Staffordshire University, where she focused on three-dimensional design.
