Alice Clarke
Alice Clarke lives in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside in the United Kingdom, and her surroundings play a fundamental role in her jewelry practice. The ever-changing ways of rural life have encouraged and fed her ideas. When designing and making jewelry, she is inspired by the muted tones, rich textures, shapes and even activities around the farmhouse, both inside and out. Clarke uses the changing materials that each season brings to a farm—for example, raspberries in summer and goose feathers in winter. From the initial drawing to the final realization of each piece, she dreams, believes and harmonizes, appreciating the found and the forage and incorporating the lay of the land.
