Artist Bio
Born in the Pacific Northwest, Jim Hunter (b. 1963) had a passion for art at a very young age. He studied "Advertising Art" in Seattle, Washington, and migrated south to Santa Barbara, California to work as a graphic designer. With his creative juices flowing, he headed to New York City and became a graphic artist for Sony Music. As a full time artist/sculptor Jim Hunter has studios in NYC and Sherman, CT. His favorite medium to sculpt is metal. Whether using metal, steel, wire or found objects he has a great sense for the abstract, geometric, landscape and kinetic art.
