Born in South Korea, Seoul-based artist Yookyung Song creates jewelry that evokes images mirrored in water. She works with materials such as resin, acrylic, and metal, which she hand-paints with gallium to capture the landscapes reflected in puddles after a rain. Song holds a Master of Fine Arts in Jewelry and Silversmithing from the University of Edinburgh and a Doctor of Fine Arts from Seoul National University. In 2023, she won the Itami Award at the Itami International Jewelry Exhibition, Japan.
