Born and raised in China, Wenjing Yang received her BFA in Fashion Design from the China Academy of Art before relocating to Portland, Oregon. After working in the clothing industry for over a decade, she shifted her focus to jewelry. Featuring Japanese glass beads, chains, and semiprecious stones, her current collection explores the intersection of traditional Native American beading techniques and modern design. She sees the world as a composite of lines, shapes, textures, forms, colors, balance, and movements, all of which she distills into her jewelry designs.
