Fatma Mostafa
Fatma Mostafa (Egypt) is an artist and jewelry designer whose practice bridges painting, embroidery, and metalwork. Born from a deep love of fine art, fashion, and traditional craft, her work traces back to childhood lessons in embroidery learned from her mother. Though she initially pursued oil painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo, developing a sensitivity to color and landscape, she later returned to thread as a primary medium.
For Mostafa, embroidery parallels painting: each piece unfolds slowly through time, care, and intention. Her jewelry transforms vibrant threads into tactile compositions that honor nature, memory, and the quiet discipline of skilled hands. Founded in 2017, her eponymous brand reflects a multidisciplinary approach in which emotion and material converge as wearable art. Her work has received international recognition, including the Fashion Trust Arabia Prize (2022), a place on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list (2024), and exhibition at Vogue Rama during Milan Fashion Week.
