Diego Saraiva is a Brazilian jeweler based in São Paulo. A compulsive traveler and collector of objects, he creates jewelry using coins, cutlery, stamps, banknotes, watches, lenses, glasses, gems, metals, and other ancient rarities that he has found around the world. Instead of preserving these objects, he gives them new life, stripping them of their intended function, but not of their history. The resulting pieces resist the specific history of our bodies and mock our mortality, reaching far beyond our brief existence to serve as a repository of stories that can and should be passed on.
