Danielle Gori-Montanelli
Danielle Gori-Montanelli has worked for over thirty years as a painter, metalsmith, and fiber artist. Though she initially trained in painting, a series of summer jewelry classes led to the realization that she was a jeweler. Born in Washington, DC, and now based in Middlebury, Vermont, she began her career in New York, working in metal for a decade. She then moved to Florence, Italy, where she spent the next decade exploring the softer and more colorful medium of felt. Her colorful felt jewelry playfully explores the wonder of the natural world and celebrates the beauty and humor found in everyday objects.
