Carola Solcia is an Italian jewelry designer and maker whose practice explores the relationship between jewelry, the body, and our perception of life. Working with engraved mother-of-pearl and carved stones and metal, she considers and challenges traditional jewelry tropes, compositions, and materials. By reimagining classical jewelry forms—such as a faceted stone, a chain, or a pearl—she playfully challenges our perceptions, creating graphic pieces that are evocative of once-treasured jewels.
