Ana Norman (USA) is a contemporary jewelry artist whose work captures “wearable moments” inspired by her travels and the world around her. The daughter of a professional oil painter, Ana was immersed in art from an early age. She studied art history and printmaking at the University of Dallas and earned her master’s degree in art history from Southern Methodist University. Her Italian heritage, academic training, and exploration of diverse cultures inform her distinctive visual language.
In 2023, Ana founded her jewelry brand, Lucky Banana Nugget, to explore jewelry as a storytelling device. She creates wearable narratives through assemblages of recognizable motifs that evoke specific places, themes, and moments in time, often with a playful twist. Each vignette is meticulously hand-sculpted in polymer modeling clay, hand-painted, and sealed with a glossy resin finish. She occasionally incorporates vintage charms collected during her travels, further embedding memory and meaning into her work.
