Join Louis Lee, Chief Creative Officer and Co-Founder of Bellweather, as he takes you behind the scenes of their groundbreaking work on the NYC Votes campaign. In this session, Louis shares how his multicultural upbringing and unique design journey shaped Bellweather’s approach to creating campaigns that resonate with New York City’s diverse communities.
Louis will discuss the complexities of designing for a population of 8.5 million, in 9 languages, while maintaining an unbiased, inclusive message. You’ll learn about Bellweather’s collaborative process with language access teams, the balance of creativity and cultural sensitivity, and how to navigate the challenges of transcreation. Louis will also reveal the strategies used to reach underrepresented voters, including immigrants, new citizens, and younger generations.

Louis Lee is the Chief Creative Officer and Co-Founder of Bellweather, a strategy-led creative agency specializing in transforming legacy brands in the nonprofit, travel & tourism, and healthcare sectors.
Driven by a passion for helping brands thrive in an ever-changing landscape, Louis focuses on expanding and diversifying audiences, including women, people of color, and Gen Z. His mission is to ensure that brands not only grow but also remain relevant in today’s competitive markets.
Though now based in New York City, Louis’s creative vision is deeply influenced by his Midwestern roots and his upbringing as the child of immigrants. These experiences have instilled in him a commitment to fostering inclusivity and creativity in all his endeavors.
