This month, families are invited to explore Pathmakers: Women in Art, Craft and Design, Midcentury and Today, and gain inspiration from groundbreaking female artists who work with alternative materials. Visitors will create patterns on paper and textiles inspired by the works of Annie Albers, Polly Apfelbaum, and Michelle Grabner. Techniques will include paper weaving, drawing directly on fabric and deconstructing patterns on textiles.

Studio Sundays, held once monthly, offer countless opportunities to learn and explore. These intergenerational workshops are included with museum admission for families to work with artist-educators who provide insight into creative processes. Each Studio Sunday workshop is unique, and open to anyone ages 6 and up.

Please review our health and safety protocols before you arrive. MAD strongly recommends all visitors six months and older are vaccinated against Covid-19 and visitors ages two and up wear face coverings, even if vaccinated. Thank you for your cooperation.
