On Sunday, May 4 join an artist educator to explore the galleries followed by a hands on workshop with designer and author Carla Diana inspired by Out of Hand: Materializing the Postdigital. Like many objects in the exhibition, Carla Diana's book, LEO the Maker Prince, teaches children (both young and old) about 3D printing. In the story LEO is a walking, talking robot who happens to be able to print (in plastic) any object that Carla draws. In this workshop participants will be able to have their own digital fabrication adventure! At MAD, our goal is to make everyone feel comfortable and enthusiastic about the opportunity to learn through their hands while having a good time together in our galleries and studio. This program is suitable for ages 6 and up.
