Studio Sunday

Sun, Nov 3 / 2 pm

Explore the future in this month's Studio Sunday inter-generational program. Focusing on the new exhibition Out of Hand: Materializing the Postdigital, participants will examine how technology has influenced the creative process for 21st century artists and designers. The exhibition highlights the digital fabrication methods that many of these artists and designers use: 3D printing, CNC (computer-numerically-controlled) machining, and digital knitting. Interact with the digital works and incorporate these ideas into your own works of art!

On the first Sunday of the month, families join professional artist educators to explore the galleries followed by a hands on workshop inspired by the objects in the exhibition.  This program is suitable for ages 6 and up. At MAD, our goal is to make everyone feel comfortable and enthusiastic about the opportunity to learn through their hands while having a good time together in our galleries and studio.

Please review our health and safety protocols before you arrive. MAD strongly recommends all visitors six months and older are vaccinated against Covid-19 and visitors ages two and up wear face coverings, even if vaccinated. Thank you for your cooperation.
