On the first Sunday of the month, join a professional artist to explore the galleries followed by a hands on workshop inspired by the objects in the exhibition. This program is suitable for ages 6 and up. At MAD, our goal is to make everyone feel comfortable and enthusiastic about the opportunity to learn through their hands while having a good time together in our galleries and studio.
Drawing in Space- Wire Jewelry and Mobiles
After browsing the current exhibition Light, Space, Structure: The Jewelry of Margeret DePatta for inspiration, participants will make their own hanging or wearable constructivist sculptures. Using wire, pebbles, and glass, explore the relationship between line and shape and take home a hand-crafted masterwork.
