In this afternoon-long hands-on making workshop, participants will work with different varieties of fabrics to create dramatic sculptural neckpieces and bold collars. Taking cues from the rich tradition of paper folding known as origami and the highly starched European ruff, students will create bold new neckwear that incorporates folding, pattern, and repletion. Students will be provided with a variety of fabrics and other materials that will come together to create undulating forms that gather, drape, and frame the body.
All materials provided. No previous experience required.
