Professional Development: Design and Healing

Thu, Jul 16, 2020

Educators and learning professionals will build a design teaching tool box and learn strategies for reframing design as a healing practice to benefit students from all backgrounds during this engaging two-hour professional development session. Join us for a virtual studio visit and hands-on workshop with leather artisan, designer, and current MAD Artist Studios Fellow Mia Wright-Ross. A fashion industry veteran, founder of lifestyle brand MWR Collection, and currently a faculty member at Parsons, Wright-Ross is guided by the design philosophy that each material used is fundamental to the unity and completion of the design. Participants earn 2 hours of CTLE credit.

A Zoom link and list of materials will be shared with all registered participants in advance of the workshop.

Please review our health and safety protocols before you arrive. MAD strongly recommends all visitors six months and older are vaccinated against Covid-19 and visitors ages two and up wear face coverings, even if vaccinated. Thank you for your cooperation.
