Open Studios: Peters Valley presents Harvey Fein

MAD is pleased to host visiting faculty from Peter’s Valley Craft Center, Harvey Fein. Fein will demonstrates his wood turning techniques in MAD's Open Studios.

Fein's work has being included in the forthcoming "New Masters of Woodturning,” by Terry Martin and Kevin Wallace, as well as is in the permenent collections of the Museum of Arts and Design, Figge Art Museum in Davenport, IA. and Carnegie Art Museum in Pittsburgh.

Peters Valley Craft Center is a non-profit educational center specializing in fine craft and art. From May through September, Peters Valley offers over 125 intensive 2-5 day adult craft workshops in 8 disciplines: Blacksmithing, Ceramics, Fiber Surface Design, Fiber Structure, Fine Metals, Photography, Special Topics and Woodworking. Peters Valley’s programs offer life-long learning for adults of all ages and all levels of proficiency. Peters Valley offers beginners workshops as well as advanced courses that engage intermediate students and provide advancement for professional artists. Peters Valley’s guest instructors are among the most acclaimed craft artists in the US. The advantage of exposure to "best-in-class" instructors extends beyond visual art to the nature of the creative process and applied thinking. Peters Valley is located in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in rural northwest New Jersey, only 80 minutes from Manhattan.
