Mayor de Blasio Listens: Artists as Policy Advocates

Join Anusha Venkataraman of El Puente and Abby Subak of Art Gowanus for an interactive discussion about the ways in which artists can get involved in local organizing and advocacy. We will hear specific examples and strategies from El Puente and Art Gowanus about organizing in the face of community change, and facilitators Caron Atlas of Arts and Democracy and Tamara Greenfield of Fourth Arts Block will share concrete tools to help workshop participants better understand public policy and develop compelling arguments that target local policymakers.
