Artist-in-residence Lauren Skelly Bailey works with a variety of processes to create ceramic sculptures. In this session of MADmakes, Bailey will lead visitors through creating textured brooches. Visitors will have the opportunity to create various textures and surfaces in clay using press molds and hand-building methods similar to Bailey's studio practice.
MADmakes is a drop-in, hands-on series where visitors can test their skills at art making and creative production. Led by current artists-in-residence, MADmakes offer visitors the opportunity to better understand and appreciate the workmanship that goes into contemporary studio practice today.
Please review our health and safety protocols before you arrive. MAD strongly recommends all visitors six months and older are vaccinated against Covid-19 and visitors ages two and up wear face coverings, even if vaccinated. Thank you for your cooperation.
