MAD Atelier: Wearable Sculpture

Tue, Apr 20 / 7–9 pm

MAD 2015 artist-in-residence Amy Lemaire will lead an online intensive jewelry workshop inspired by the artist’s wearable glass sculptures. A multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, Lemaire will share some of the showpieces in her collection of handmade glass jewelry as participants craft wearable sculptural pieces informed by architecture and geometric patterning. Participants will learn how to design a basic pattern that can be improvised to craft a unique piece from readily available materials. At the end of the session, participants will complete a bracelet, brooch or pendant necklace. The workshop is for ages 18 and up and for all skill levels. Enrollment is limited.

Sign up for all three MAD Atelier workshops!
