In this dystopian cult classic, Queen Elizabeth I and her alchemist John Dee travel from the 1600s with the aid of Shakespeare’s Ariel from The Tempest, into a bleak, hyper-real version of 1970s London filled with gangs of violent punks and nihilistic businessmen. The film features performances by punk luminaries Jayne County and Adam Ant, alongside cameos from Siouxsie and the Banshees and the Slits, plus a score by Brian Eno.
