Director's Screening of Marie Antoinette

Thu, Jan 9, 2020

 Marie Antoinette (2006)
Dir. Sofia Coppola
123 min 35 mm

Directed by Academy Award-winning director Sofia Coppola, Marie Antoinette depicts the life of the fashionable queen, played by Kirsten Dunst, in the years leading up to the French Revolution.

Sui and Coppola have bonded over their love of fashion and film for decades.  After visiting Coppola on set during the filming of a ballroom scene in The Hall of Mirrors at Versailles, the glamorous and decadent aesthetic of the film became one of Sui’s main inspirations for the Spring 2007 collection.

Directly following the screening we will be joined by Sofia Coppola and Anna Sui for a conversation moderated by Amy Astley, editor-in-chief of Architectural Digest.

Please review our health and safety protocols before you arrive. MAD strongly recommends all visitors six months and older are vaccinated against Covid-19 and visitors ages two and up wear face coverings, even if vaccinated. Thank you for your cooperation.
