A landmark work of cinematic poetry and remarkable resonance by master director Andrei Tarkovsky (Solaris), Stalker follows three men who hire a Stalker, professional guide, to lead them into the mysterious zone.  Quarantined off from the rest of the civilization by an unnamed political force, the zone is a dangerous and deceptive landscape. Leading those who have hired him through this bizarre world, the Stalker attempts to reach a room that will fulfill the deepest wish of anyone who enters it. Breathtakingly shot, complex in visual aesthetics and powerful in its insight into the very nature of human desire Stalker is a monumental achievement of a powerful filmmaking talent.
