The Boom List: Delivering on Diversity

Join Carl Desir, founder of The Boom List, as he discusses his approach to breaking through barriers and orchestrating real change by organizing a diverse collection of creative thinkers and creating community for creative professionals of color. Along with Carl, three talented individuals featured on The Boom List will discuss their work and how they are using their craft to amplify voices, drive connections and build community.

Panelists

Derrick Davis is a photographer and visual artist based in the South Bronx. Derrick creates visual stories that help people understand complex ideas, and shares stories that enhance collective knowledge of the people in our communities. Derrick enjoys collaborations that push boundaries of creativity and challenge stereotypes.

Nayantara Dutta is a writer, strategist and third culture kid. Growing up around the world, she hopes to increase representation for people with more complicated definitions of identity. She created the trend report and photo project Unapologetically Muslim and the event series Defining Desi to center Muslim and South Asian voices. Within advertising, she co-leads the Editorial Pod of the ADCOLOR Content Team, working to create content that explores nuanced conversations around inclusion.

God-is Rivera is Global Director, Culture & Community, at Twitter. She is responsible for better serving and engaging communities on Twitter all around the world through Twitter’s brand marketing, campaigns with partners, and events and experiences. Internally, she drives strategy to make sure that campaigns and programs are connective, inclusive and reflective of the communities Twitter serves. Externally, God-is builds on Twitter's work in developing relationships and programs with community leaders, content partners, influencers, creators, partners and brands. @GodisRivera
