Artist & Youth Workshop: Marianne van Ooij

Thu, Mar 10 / 4 pm

Do you want to make ‘things’ but do not know where to start? Are you considering taking a ceramics class, but are not sure you will like it? Do you want to make your own action-figures or jewelry? Then this workshop is for you.

Air drying clay, a favorite medium of designer Marianne van Ooij, can be used for many purposes. From art objects, jewelry, bowls, specific parts to prototypes, anything goes, as long as you have the patience to: let it dry. The final object can later be sanded, painted or varnished to give it the exact look you had in mind.

Marianne van Ooij, a New York based Dutch product designer is working in the Open Studios Program until February 21.

Please review our health and safety protocols before you arrive. MAD strongly recommends all visitors six months and older are vaccinated against Covid-19 and visitors ages two and up wear face coverings, even if vaccinated. Thank you for your cooperation.
