AIGA NY: Designing Fearlessly with Shar Biggers

Thu, Feb 22 / 6:30 pm

Join creative director Shar Biggers, founder of branding design studio Saleah, for an intimate and thought-provoking conversation that peels back the layers of her studio’s rebrand. This event is an opportunity to think at the intersection of creativity, diversity, and strategic design thinking. Learn insights into overcoming challenges and thriving in the design industry, and how strategic branding can break barriers and glass ceilings.

Shar Biggers is the creative director and founder of branding studio Saleah, where she has worked with Fortune 500 companies, led design projects for Amazon Fashion and Diversity, and helped over 10 million Americans say “I’m with her” for Hillary Clinton.

Biggers’ passion is bringing balance and increased opportunities for ambitious bootstrapped startups, women-led companies, and businesses owned by people of color. To that end, her ultimate goal is to design for good and those undervalued. A native of Atlanta by way of St. Louis, Shar holds an MBA in business management and is a graduate of Miami Ad School’s Portfolio Center of Design. She is thrilled to share her story and inspire others, especially the next generation of female and minority creatives.

Designing Fearlessly is part of AIGA NY’s Fresh Dialogue series. The series are critical discussions focused on current events, issues of cultural relevance, and emerging topics in the world of design.
