Join Debra Rapoport, artist and ambassador of the blog and recent book Advanced Style, as she leads drop-in, hands-on making workshops utilizing ash, dust, and dirt to construct easy, breezy warm-weather accessories.  Throughout the summer, this stylish gray-haired citizen gives novice and expert alike the opportunity to transform materials seen in MAD’s exhibition Swept Away: Dirt, Ashes, and Dust in Contemporary Art and Design into new pieces for exciting summer ensembles. Visitors create necklaces, bracelets, and other accessories that embrace the ephemeral qualities of these unusual ingredients, so that the final pieces will change and alter with time.
