REFRACTION for Advancement for Women in Science and Medicine - Artist / philanthropists Elizabeth Jordan, Michelle Ort and Chris Zeppieri have combined contemporary art with science to create a dynamic collection of light sculptures and photographs. The art form merges vintage hand blown recycled glass laboratory equipment with fiber optic filaments. This luminous body of work transforms sterile medical equipment into an esthetic experience allowing the viewer to merge emotions of practical and spiritual nature.
Elizabeth Jordan is an artist, photographer, philanthropist and mother who lives and works in New York City.
