Madrid-based designer Beatriz Palacios trained as a mining engineer before studying with professional jewelers. She started her design practice in 2011. Her inspirations have varied between different European art and design movements of the last century and natural animal and plant forms, and much of her work has a conversational, whimsical quality. Palacios collaborates with a master jeweler on the concepts and practical completion of her pieces, each of which is designed and handcrafted in her workshop in Madrid. She maintains high standards of quality, craftsmanship, and design and closely oversees every step of the process.
