Explore the imagined world of The Ancient Truth Investigators as they perform science experiments in the Artist Studios. Led by Ráchel Räder, Chief Investigator, the alter ego of artist-in-residence Rachel Rader, visitors will watch as a series of performers treat the Artist Studios as a laboratory for experimenting with materials that bubble, burst, and grow. Using Rader's intricately crafted handmade objects, The Ancient Truth Investigators will create an imagined world full of fantasy and magic that imbeds each object with a deeper sense of meaning and narrative.
Rader aims to connect human experiences back to a more harmonious relationship with the Earth and its Elements, while also embracing the possibilities that storytelling can yield in contemporary creative practices today. The Investigators will challenge the boundaries between the real and imagined, and visitors will have the opportunity to engage the Investigators in questions and dialogue. All materials used are safe. Performance is open to visitors of all ages. Rachel Rader is an artist-in-residence every Tuesday through May 23, 2017.
