Design Happy Hour: Make Your Own Botanical Textiles

Take a break from the work week and stretch your creative skill set in our Design Happy Hour workshop inspired by the botanical textiles from the forthcoming exhibition Vera Paints a Scarf: The Art and Design of Vera NeumannLed by artist, designer, and educator Karen Fuchs, the workshop includes free wine and beer and all the materials needed to use botanical specimens to create your own textile designs inspired by nature’s forms and patterns.

Karen Fuchs teaches at art museums, schools, universities, and arboretums using her own curriculum focused on organic forms, patterns and natural structures.  Her own work includes textiles, cyanotype, printmaking, collage, sculpture and assemblage.

MAD's Design Happy Hour take place select Wednesday evenings in our Artists Studio space.
