Explore Mexico City

Wed, Feb 20–Mon, Feb 25

Please join MAD's Nanette L. Laitman Director, Chris Scoates, and Trustee and Chair of MAD Travels, Marian C. Burke on an exciting trip to explore Mexico City's ever-flourishing art scene.

The last decade has brought enormous changes to this culturally vibrant city. With its centuries-old historic landmarks, rich cultural heritage, modern art and architecture, magnificent scenery, thriving art and design scene, echoes of ancient art and history, and the finest dining, it's no wonder Mexico City has been named the World Design Capital for 2018.

Among other highlights, we will experience curator-led tours of the Museo Soumaya and Museo Nacional de Arte, an after-hours visit to Museo Tamayo, a private tour of the Palacio de Bellas Artes, and specially arranged before-hours tours of the National Museum of Anthropology and the Frida Kahlo Museum. We will visit the homes of distinguished collectors including Barbara Berger and Eugenio López, as well as the studios of numerous artists, including Eduardo Terraza and Tania Candiani. You'll also have free time to explore the city on your own.

This exciting expedition is offered to MAD Trustees and members of the Collector's Circle and above. As we anticipate that this trip will fill up quickly, we encourage you to sign up now! For a detailed itinerary and pricing, or to make reservations, please visit www.artsandtravel.com/mad. If you have any questions, please contact me at 212.299.7732 or lucig.kebranian@madmuseum.org.

Please review our health and safety protocols before you arrive. MAD strongly recommends all visitors six months and older are vaccinated against Covid-19 and visitors ages two and up wear face coverings, even if vaccinated. Thank you for your cooperation.
