Doris Duke's Shangri La: The situation of contemporary artists in the Islamic world

The outpouring of cultural production from the Islamic world over the past decade has raised new questions about the role of ethics and methodology. Bringing together leading artists, critics, and other cultural producers, this panel addressed the advancements and obstacles facing artists from the "Islamic World" today.

Panelists include: Afruz Amighi, Assad Faulwell, Mohamed Zakariya, and Sandow Birk. Moderated by MAD curator Lowery Stokes Sims.
