About

Ben Light is a designer, maker, and Cash Cab contestant. He earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and a Masters from NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program.  Ben splits his time between New York City and the Pennsylvania Poconos, where he gets his hands on plenty of naturally fallen trees.
His work ranges from wooden furniture to electro/mechanical kinetic sculpture.  While at Open Studios, Ben is excited to be turning reclaimed wood into lamps and sculptural objects. Ben has been included in exhibitions by the Cameron Art Museum, the American Design Club, Model Citizens NYC, and Core77.

Yes his last name is Light, yes he makes lamps, and yes he may love his lathe just a little too much. blightdesign.com
