Program Description
Manipulating dirt and soil, as well as other powdered materials such as graphite, glitter, coffee grounds, and used tea bags, visitors construct unexpectedly fashionable and complex necklaces.
Working with everyday dust collected from your floors, lint from the dryer, wool fleece, and industrial felt, visitors construct bracelets that can be embellished with fibers for additional threads of color.
Delving into the use of fine ash, visitors learn techniques in merging this powdery material with others in order to construct epaulets and pins that can spruce up any drab summer look.
This summer’s series of salons culminates in a no-holds-barred bonanza of accessory making! Utilizing techniques developed during the previous sessions, this final event brings together dust, ashes, and dirt in new ways to construct any wearable possibility!
