Public Events

The opening of the new Museum of Arts and Design will generate excitement in the press, among our supporters, cultural consumers, and local and tri-state areas residents. Sponsorship of these public opening events will provide recognition by the greatest numbers of people.

Art for All

Art for All is the Museum of Arts and Design’s 100% free, weekend-long public art festival—our gift to New York City—celebrating the opening of our new home at Columbus Circle. In addition to welcoming the community to our new building, the purpose of Art for All is to encourage both residents and visitors to New York to participate in the city’s cultural life through:

  • Specially commissioned art installations
  • Hands-on art workshops for both adults and families
  • Artist performances in the Museum and around Columbus Circle
  • Tours of Second Lives: Remixing the Ordinary, the debut exhibition at our new home
  • Talks with exhibition artists and Museum curators
  • Artists working in our three Open Studios, demonstrating techniques using fiber, wood, metal, and ceramics
  • Tours of the Museum’s permanent collection, on display for the first time in our history
  • Musical performances in the Museum and around Columbus Circle
  • Screenings of a film that documents the extraordinary transformation of the Museum’s new building
