The online student art gallery will provide an opportunity for teachers and students in pre-kindergarten through high school to showcase their art and experience with educational programs at MAD.
The gallery will highlight and promote the many examples of outstanding student art produced by schools city-wide that have participated in MAD’s educational programs. By incorporating language arts, visual literacy, art appreciation and peer critiquing/evaluation, this site aims to help boost the students’ pride and self-esteem and further enable parents, relatives and friends to view the students’ artwork online and take an active role in your child’s art education by participating.
Furthermore, the gallery also aims to help show that the arts do not exist in isolation. Many pieces of art that will be featured on this site will be closely linked to students' studies in other classes, such as history, math, science and literature.
